Summer News

Hello to you all and thank you for visiting my blog!

So much has happened this summer! I've been travelling and working like crazy, from conducting at the Belem festival in Brazil, to working with the Symphony Orchestra of Mendoza in Argentina, to working with some wonderful students in my native Hungary at the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE). Click through to the Audio/Video page of this website to hear a recording with me conducting Frigyes Hidas's The Undanced Ballet.

My book on Hidas was also released in Germany. Woohoo!

I'm very excited for my upcoming teaching and performance schedule! In August I return to the Music for You summer pgroamn in England, then in September I will conduct music of Liszt and Kodaly with the Symphony Orchestra of Guanajuato in Mexico. In October I travel to argentina for the International Music Festival of Villa Carlos Paz, where I am artistic director and conductor. Bands will come from all over South America to study and perform and enjoy the really beautiful scenery of Villa Carlos Paz and Cordoba. After that I fly back to Hungary for an exciting recording projecct with two of my former students who are truly world-class musicians, Roland Szentpali and Bence Szepesi... but more on that in a later post.

Thanks for reading! I'll post another update soon.

PS- You can see video of me conducting Banda Sinfónica de Buñol in Spain from last summer. We performed Franscisco Tamarit's Lamento. What a fantastic ensemble!
