"Beethoven Forever! Music Makes People Better" - presentation at UUUF
This year marks the 250th anniversary of Ludwig Van Beethoven, one of the great composers. Dr. Marosi, a celebrated conductor, musician, and scholar, now at UCF, will share his thoughts, and some music, on the importance and influence of the music of Beethoven, including aspects of Beethoven’s life that celebrate or mirror UU principles. The presentation will include a special performance of the first movement of Beethoven's Waldstein Sonata, by Derek Alexander, a scholarship student at UCF's School of Performing Arts and second prize for the 2019 Florida State Music Teacher Association's Gray Perry Collegiate Young Artist Competitive Event.
